North Scottsdale Neighborhood Guide (85254 / 85255 / 85259)
North Scottsdale is three zip codes doing three different things. Here's what each one is actually for.
85254 — the quiet-money corridor
Big lots, mature landscaping, established neighborhoods. This is where the best luxury short-term rentals sit.
10–15 minutes to TPC Scottsdale, Kierland Commons, and the Mayo Clinic. 15 minutes to Old Town.
The sweet spot for multi-gen families, golf groups, and bachelorette parties that want a real neighborhood, not a resort tower.
85255 — DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Grayhawk
Newer, master-planned, gated communities. Beautiful, but you're farther from everything — 20–30 minutes to Old Town.
Best for golf-obsessed trips (Grayhawk, Silverleaf) or travelers who want a resort-adjacent feel.
85259 — foothills and quiet
Closer to the McDowell Mountains, hiking, and the Mayo Clinic. Fewer restaurants nearby.
Best for a wellness or reset trip. Not the pick for nightlife.
